A bird of prey in tiny-size flies to its favorite orchid on a brilliant vermillion red background.
The bird is modeled after a greater spotted eagle I photographed in Kenya. A greater spotted eagle's wingspan ranges from 61–71 inches (155–180 cm) and a phalaenopsis orchid blossom is only a few inches wide. Playing with scale is on of my favorite things in Surrealism.
