Keep track of important dates in 2026 with this Starry Nights calendar that reflects your style and spirit! This stylish calendar not only helps you stay organized but also works as a decorative piece with unique artwork to go with each month.

The artworks in this calendar are selected from my Starry Nights series. For this series, each painting associates a different animal to each constellation. I'm working my way through all 88 constellations officially recognized by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). I take creative license with which animals I dedicate to each constellation, but I do my best to paint the stars in the correct locations.

Paintings in this calendar:

  • Cetus, Killer Whale
  • Nubian Carpricorn (Nubian goat)
  • Perseus Roadrunner
  • Pisces, a la Whale Sharks
  • Canus Minor (Coyote)
  • Ursa Major (Polar bear)
  • Ursa Minor (Polar bear)
  • Cancer, Sea Lion
  • Leo of the Mountain (Mountain lion)
  • Southern Cross, Giraffe
  • Libra-Apapane (Apapane bird)
  • Octo-Scorpio (Octopus)
  • Monoceros-Nyx (Rhinoceros)

I primarily use my own photo reference for all of my artwork. There are a few exceptions. For instance, I'm not an astrophysicist and do not have access to high-powered telescopes, so I use the following resources for astronomy image references in this calendar: stellarium-web.org; svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/4851; wikipedia.org; Stuart Heggie via nasa.gov.
I'm also not a scuba diver (yet?), so these are the image references for the following marine-based wildlife in this calendar.
Orca: u_og3i9t052b (Pixabay).
Whale Sharks: Adiprayogo Liemena; Emma Li.
Octopus: Jan Lindner.

• Paper pages bound with a silver-color metal wire
• Paper weight: 8 oz/yd² (271 g/m²)

LUNAR CODEX

My Artwork on the Moon

Luna, my triple-rhino painting honoring Earth's moon, is going to reside in the Southern Polar Region of that very same moon. My art is not only international, but extra-terrestrial.

Luna is part of The Polaris Collection, payload GM1, going to the moon with the Astrobotic Griffin Mission 1. Enormous thanks to Samuel Peralta and NASA for making this possible.

Inspiration

I love the natural world! Through my artwork, I seek to honor it and encourage others to love, protect, and conserve it too.

A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of my artwork is donated to the International Rhino Foundation.

Image Reference

I work primarily from my own photographs of animals, wildlife, and nature. While I paint and create artowrk in my indoor art studio, I gather most of my inspiration outside. I combine any number of photographs along with and my (over-active?) imagination to create my artwork.

"Absolutely Beautiful! I never really looked at rhinos as a beautiful animal...But when you paint them, you make them look so majestic and beautiful but still big and muscular. And let me say maybe peaceful. No one is there to bother them. It's like I see them truly free and happy!!"

Hey Sarah, we hung the painting in our dining room. We had other plans for it, but decided we wanted to be able to look at it often. So, here I sit, having a cup of coffee while enjoying it. Cheers!
