Cloud Zebras are here!

I do love a good pun. Notice how the color rises up from the clouds? Yep. Colorizing/Color Rising. I went there.

This cloud zebra went through many phases because I decided to experiment! I'm happy with the final outcome, and love how much I learned from my color and value test runs on the way. One of my favorite things about working in oil is that every layer below can have an impact on the final product. Without my experiments, this would have been a very different painting even if this color arrangement had been my first idea.

Wild at Art

Wildlife art is a language of love, hope, and determination.

I painted my first rhino in 1999. There is no stopping me.
