Can you find the otter? I love how so many animals blend in well with their surroundings and decided to give this otter a chance to be bold and hidden at once. The abstract shapes of the water and reeds (or whatever you choose to see in all that red) make a dynamic play against the otter who is calmly nibbling away and floating.
My Rain Paintings are a series I started in 2025. I started out with a single massive piece of watercolor paper, took it out into a rainstorm, and proceeded to use watercolors, non-toxic fabric paints, and the like, to create these works. After two separate rainstorm sessions, I cut the dried paper down to 8x10 and 5x7 inch rectangles and continued to paint and draw on them with all manner of materials in my studio. As needed, some paintings go back out into the rain after their time in the studio.

The watermark is not present on the painting. It is included to protect the image on the web.
I work primarily from my own photo reference and imagination.
