This mixed media painting/drawing shows a sturdy wolf facing left, well-braced, and howling to the full moon. In this case, the full moon is a very large orange.
Redlands was once known as the "Navel Orange Capital of the World." There are still many orange groves today. There's even one basically across the street from me. SoI decided to make a series of art that honors some of the wildlife of the area as well as its orange-tree heritage.
The frame is made to sit on a shelf or other flat surface.
