20x24 inches
Oil on canvas
Original oil painting by Sarah Soward
This painting is part of the Rhinotopia painting series.
Maybe Sparrow/Fallen Trees is a story of Oxossi and is named for two songs rather than just one because his story is a journey and sometimes paths cross and split. The songs are by Niko Case/Saint Saviour.
In this painting, a slightly abstract black rhino stands in the middle of a birch tree forest, focused on the central tree that is broken and scarred by lightning.

Wild at Art
Wildlife art is a language of love, hope, and determination.
I painted my first rhino in 1999. There is no stopping me.
