Then the rhino horn and floating shadow bring everything to a point. The rain-painted lines and fingernail marks in the paper speak to textures of the rhino as well as to the strife they keep enduring. It's a thoughtful painting of my favorite animal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy Rain Paintings are a series I started in 2025. I started out with a single massive piece of watercolor paper, took it out into a rainstorm, and proceeded to use watercolors, non-toxic fabric paints, and the like, to create these works. After two separate rainstorm sessions, I cut the dried paper down to 8x10 and 5x7 inch rectangles and continued to paint and draw on them with all manner of materials in my studio.
