The painting is not framed. It is shipped flat in a protective sleeve with a hard backing.

I love the awkwardness of penguins. I also love how sleekly elegant they can be at times, when they pose just right. Honestly, though, I love their strange shapes and land waddle. 
I gave these three penguin friends a little mass of green land. One penguin contemplates diving into the unknown to the right while the other tow consider the deep and softly glowing sky.
They are the wrong colors on purpose. I wanted them warm in the darkness I made for them, so their white feathers are a toasty yellow.
My Rain Paintings are a series I started in 2025. I started out with a single massive piece of watercolor, took it out into a rainstorm, and proceeded to use watercolors, non-toxic fabric paints, and the like, to create these works. After two separate rainstorm sessions, I cut the dried paper down to 8x10 and 5x7 inch rectangles and continued to paint and draw on them with all manner of materials in my studio.

Please keep fine art and prints out of direct sunlight and UV light. 
The watermark is not present on the painting. It is included to protect the image on the web.

I work primarily from my own photo reference and imagination.

Original Art will be shipped from the art studio in California.

Limited Edtion Prints (while supplies last) will be shipped from the art studio in California.

Open Edition Prints are made-to-order prints. Most of these are printed in a trusted print house near you and shipped directly to you from there.
This is more ecologically friendly. It also keeps international shipping costs down for Open Edition Prints because they are not necessarily shipped from the U.S.

My Artwork on the Moon

Luna, my triple-rhino painting honoring Earth's moon, is going to reside in the Southern Polar Region of that very same moon. My art is not only international, but extra-terrestrial.

Luna is part of The Polaris Collection, payload GM1, going to the moon with the Astrobotic Griffin Mission 1. Enormous thanks to Samuel Peralta and NASA for making this possible.

Inspiration

I love the natural world! Through my artwork, I seek to honor it and encourage others to love, protect, and conserve it too.

A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of my artwork is donated to the International Rhino Foundation.

Image Reference

I work primarily from my own photographs of animals, wildlife, and nature. While I paint and create artowrk in my indoor art studio, I gather most of my inspiration outside. I combine any number of photographs along with and my (over-active?) imagination to create my artwork.
