Sheltering-in-Place, Day 7

Sheltering-in-Place, Day 7

Image of a woman with pigtails dancing in a silly fashion, text reads, When ugly realities close in, dance! My husband came around the corner from the kitchen and caught me in mid-interpretive-crunch-twist. My little expressive dance moment turned into minutes of giggles for both of us. And we both needed it. This thing we’re all doing is hard.

The text on the image reads

When ugly realities close in, dance!
My husband came around the corner from the kitchen and caught me in mid-interpretive-crunch-twist. My little expressive dance moment turned into minutes of giggles for both of us. And we both needed it. This thing we’re all doing is hard.

The small parts of today involved website work and figuring out that the things I want don't match up with the way things work. So, I danced.

The big parts of today were... big. There's a wolf on the horizon. It's getting closer. We'll see which part of nature wins. In the meantime, I dance.

P.S. Dear non-metaphorical wolves, know that I love you and my metaphor is not meant to reflect badly on your character.

Addendum: The dress!

The dress is from my favorite local shop, called Goldie's. Can you believe I got this masterpiece from their sale rack for $20!? The store clerk couldn't believe it either when she rang me up. I still haven't figured out what made it go on super-sale. It's a few layers of a gentle, pliable tulle fabric in two colors. The bottom layer matches the underdress, which is sort of a blanched lace color. The top layer is a lovely aqua color with flowery designs embroidered on it. It's super long. When I wear it outside, it requires my extra especially tall shoes so it doesn't drag on the ground. It reminds me of a more sensible version of the Giant Blue Dress (GBD) of my youth. I used to sometimes wear that one with roller skates.
