Sheltering-in-Place: Day 39

A woman is wearing a grey sweater with flowers on the sleeves. Her shadow has a mishmash of matching flowers in it. She stands wide, brandishing paintbrushes and smiling. The text on the image reads THE POWER OF ART COMPELS ME!

THE POWER OF ART COMPELS ME!

Art in its many forms makes life worth while for me—both making it and experiencing it—but especially making it. Doing these digital paintings every day is not always something that I look forward to. I'm human. Some days aren't smooth. Doing these always helps, though. Even when there are technical glitches or I have to take 20 breaks because things hurt or I'm struggling to keep focused, these are helping me.

Today, I'm wearing embroidered flowers on my sleeves, and apparently, they're also in growing in my shadow. The darkness is behind me. It isn't in me.
